Thermostat
A thermostat is a device for controlling the temperature and humidity in a room.
Thermostats can be divided into three types by functionality:
- regular, with the ability to set the room temperature and manually switch to "heating" or "cooling" modes;
- programmable, with the additional ability to set the temperature by time of day, day of the week and automatic heating and cooling mode;
- smart thermostats that have a Wi-Fi connection, the ability to control from a smartphone, and a wide range of additional functions, such as displaying the outside temperature and control via a voice assistant. Some smart thermostats are able to additionally control the humidity in the room.
The latter type of thermostat requires a constant power supply from the unit due to its increased energy consumption. This requires a control cable with an additional fifth core.
There are a large number of thermostat manufacturers on the US market. I recommend Honeywell thermostats, the reliability of which I have personally tested over many years. Honeywell produces all of the listed types of thermostats with a choice in each category.
I will select, install and configure any thermostat for you, available. I will extend a new control cable or connect to the existing one.
When installing the thermostat, I will inspect your air conditioner for free.
